Sunflower seeds have helped me quit chewing tobacco. As some of you know I dipped for 14 years and developed tongue cancer. I have surgery tomorrow. Up until now, all the sunflower seeds I've tried were really, really salty and high in sodium. David Seeds now offer reduced sodium sunflower seeds. They are great.

I wanted to share this information, for others fighting with the addition of chewing or smoking for that matter. A healty alternitive is available.

Anyway sorry for the preachin' ya'll. Remember after Sunday Services next week we'll be having a pot-luck.

They were what I used when I quit smoking. I was only on them for like a month or two, but they filled some of the void.

    Honest question....

    Do they sell 'em "un-salted"?

Good question. None, that I've found any where. Dill Pickle, BBQ, Ranch, just to name a few but, they all have favor or are salty in my experience.

I took a can of Kodiak and swallowed it with a Miller Lite. Puked for hours and to this day can't stomach Winter Green:)

Thanks, but I made a mistake. It's on Thursday, not tomorrow as I had wrote on my earlier post. Anyways thanks for the kind words. I'm not thinking straight.

I tried seeds instead of chew. After a week or so they tore my mouth up pretty good.

Your right about that. However these reduced sodium aren't as bad, 50% less salt.
