Anyone else excited about this movie? I preordered my tickets down in Birmingham Alabama for this Friday. The lady and I are driving down for a few days to get me settled in my new house and turn back over the apartment keys...getting in some Minor League Baseball action and the best movie of the year while there. Who all will be watching it this weekend?
This is going to rock. Wife and i are planning to watch the first two then midnight showing. #nolanrules Sent from my DROID2 GLOBAL using Tapatalk 2
I'm very pumped to see this movie, Doubtful I will see it hte 1st day or two, but I will see it not too long after release. With much of it filmed in Pittsburgh and literally on the streets out side my office building I am pumped. they were also filming a lot of the tumbler scenes on a small airport runway next to my house. I want to see how those are in the movie, if they are the edited in stuff or if there is an airport runway scene.
Definitely pumped. I won't fight the crowds, though. No need to when you have any 7 days of the week during the summer to pick from :D
My best friend in town stopped over today as we had a village wide garage sale. His lifelong friend has a son who stutters and is part of a group that does inspirational outings for them and they travel to various locations. As luck would have it they were in that area yesterday and many of the older kids went to the movie. The friends son was sitting next to a friend that got shot in the arm, luckily the parent that was chaperoning them got them out alive though not all unharmed. I'm sure I will get more details once they are back in town but I guess it was total chaos when it all went down.
So...yeah. Best movie of the series IMO. Action, emotion, tension, tears, badassness, TDKR had everything. I've always thought the ending to TDK was very meh, which is why I now put it was the worst of the trilogy (I still loved it though). TDKR was pretty much perfect.
Agreed. Best of the trilogy. I think they got increasingly better, the first didn't have nearly enough action. The plot of the TDKR was much more in depth and intricate than TDK....if it wasn't for Heath Ledgers Joker, it wouldn't have been nearly as good as it was.
TDK was my favorite of the trilogy and Heath Ledger's Joker was why. I liked TDKR better than Batman Begins though. Although I think it is the best comic book based trilogy to date.
By far. Hell, it is one of the best trilogies, regardless of genre, to date. How I rank the individual films: TDKR BB TDK I really did not like the ending of TDK. The Joker was the best villain of the movies, but the plot was just everywhere. I loved the story of BB. And TDKR was just epic.
I went with my wife and 9 yo son Friday to see it. I had not seen any of the other batman movies so i was a bit lost, but it was OK. The Batman character was not very good IMO. The way he talked when he had the mask on was annoying.
