Anyone having problems with dandelions this year?

I wasn't able to put fertilizer and weed killer down as early as normal because of the cold and wet conditions. Our yard has three levels and the top and middle are nice and green and no dandelions but the bottom which was still wet is not as green and has a bunch of dandelions.

No problem on my yard. Got weed and feed down. Neighbors in every direction is another story however. More yellow than green on their lawns.

Mine just blew up last few days. Gonna try and spray some weed and feed tonight or tomorrow. I thought they weren't gonna be bad this year then next day looks fairly rough again

Earlier in the season, I had a ton of dandelions, I have a neighbor who detests yard work, including cutting her grass. She has a yard full of those pretty yellow flowers !! :( I solved that problem this year by getting a yard service to spray the lawn 5 times a years with weed and feed, putting some lime down for the acidic soil due to the large pine trees I have and they will be doing the aeration and overseeding this fall. For the money I paid them, it wasn't that much more than me going out and buying all the stuff, then taking the time to do all of that work myself, it was sort of a no brainer.

x2. They don't bother me one bit and the thought of using a bunch of chemicals to kill them isn't going to happen.

If you only have a dandelion here and there, what's the big deal?

Never understood the obsession with having a perfectly green yard.

The front part of my field was full of dandelions as well as my brother's small field.

I'm also glad I moved out of the subdivision and to the farm. Yard Nazis and perfectly manicured lawns suck.

I have the same amount every year. After a couple mow jobs they usually disappear. Never have I sprayed and I'm picky about my lawn.

I've noticed that, too. Mow once or twice and they're gone.

Here's my yard right now. I just mowed Saturday and clipped the last few stems that were left.

Out here the dandelions die pretty fast if you don't water them. So does the 'yard' grass. Lol

I have a good crop of wild rye going tho'. ;)

If they were seersucker shorts, Hooker would love you as a neighbor.

If we didn't have dandelions in our yard, we wouldn't have a yard

Nock on wood.....they're not too bad this year for us. A neighbor down the road their yard is absolutely white right now, then again it looks like they haven't cut it once yet this year either LOL

I put a preventer/fertilizer combo down but the neighbors yard is packed with them so the one side of my yard still got some. For the most part they are all gone now. I am more embarrassed by the weeds and lack of freshmulch in the flower beds around the house. I have been pretty neglectful of that so far this year and the wife is prego so she hasn't been able to get outside either. I'm just tending my vegetable garden and I will fix up the flower beds this fall and do better next year.
