In case you needed proof of the legitimacy of this buck, the Ohio DNR released a statement on their Facebook page.

Congrats again to Dan! He deserves this buck.

Great picture. People will still try to rip this apart. Congrats to this guy. It is too bad he had to plan ahead to make sure people believe him.

The kid in the picture is fantastic. Need more and more of that. Regardless of size.

I am so happy for people like that the jealously of other people sometimes is un believable. In everything now days big bucks, job promotions, ect. If anybody has success of any kind or an major achievement it's usually due to their hardwork, preparation , and perseverance. In 2010 I shot a 186in 10 point I hunted my butt off to kill him and finally did Immediately People are saying I shot it at night, out the window with a rifle you name it. I have been given a ticket once in my life while hunting and it was because I didn't have a stamp signed. Now all the sudden I'm a major law breaker because nobody could accept that I might of worked harder then them that year and was luckier. Sorry for the rant I'm just SO HAPPY FOR HIM!!! This is such a nice site also truly hunters supporting hunters and wannabe hunters. I read very little that sounds judge mental or jealous in the forums Thanks Guys and Gals

Glad the Ohio DNR stepped up and put to rest all the naysayers. Bunch of Nancy's on AT with egg on their faces.

Yeah I know. But they'll still tear it apart. I would post a link to the story, but posting a link is against their sponsorship guidelines. But yet we're the bad guys for commercializing our show. Joke.

Ya'll have put in the work, I'd ride that thing like a bucking bull for all 8 seconds and more. Congratulations to him and I hope this promotes your show in a positive way. Ride it like you stole it man.

Those guys on AT don't give two happy's. They have their own lil trolling group that they have control of and that's fine. Some people on here can be judgemental at times and that's fine if it's done for the right reasons, but those guys over there are like Drama Queens....

You know probably 90% of those guys would love to have their own show on TV, most are just jealous and so will take any cheap shot they can think of to get a dig in to make themselves feel more up to par. It's sad but that's human nature for many a weener.

Oh it's all jealousy. That one guy who is captain DB on the SS D0uche Canoe has killed a freaking 200+ monster that I will never even see a deer like. So I think he believes he can just question everybody, but thats just being green because he knows his glory days are over.
