Damn near lost

a girl or two today, I stopped by to feed my chickens and they were awful vocal, they are always happy to see people but today was different.
One of Christine's possums was hiding behind the water bottle, a quick whack with a # 13 rockey pro hunter was all it took. They just don't seem to make possums like they used to, I guess I should of turned em over to see if he was made in China.
Girls good, brown eggs good, and possum he not so good.

My wife wants a slow cook it but, but ,I said if'n the Olympics weren't over we'd be deep dippin that bad boy, possum an fried okra is what locals call a meal fit for wearing ur cleanest wife beater.

Good deal! I dont like anything bothering my little ladies either! No possums in this country, man they are ugly critters. Are they really good to eat?

They get into the girls fish pond in the yard so I use a nice shovel on them.

Mine was down on the first whack but it took much more to convice the nasty critter that he had been actually killed. (even my dog biting him didn't finish him off) He was big tho'.

Glad your girls are okay.

 

I checked this morning he most certainly is dead.

 

The last possum i came across got a .44 from 2 feet :D

 

My dogs took care of the last one that tried to eat the dog food. I was pretty certain it was dead when I found half in the front yard and half in the pasture.

 

I can't stand opossums!! Ugly SOB's they are!! Well done Jim!!!!!!!!
