Had 3 great days on the lake this week.

Here are a few of my better fish.

I have heard the smallmouth fishing is unreal on that lake. Get to weigh any of the bugger ones?

Most were around 4lbs! Been fishing there for over thirty years. It's slot limit has made it a go to place for quality fish.

What do those bass measure? Up here in Minnesota on the mississipi we go by length not weight.

I'll probably start hitting the lake after turkey season closes.

What did you catch them on and what were you throwing for bait? I love fishing river smallies, on a lake I would have to learn all over. On the Mississippi I love late June with crank baits and surface baits. Nothing better than at the end of a day fishing to have a rub mark on your thumb from lipping then or sore forearms from fighting smallies.

Sota- I caught them on swim baits, jig and minnow, shaky head worms in green pumpkin and on live bait.

They we in 5-20 FOW and aggressive. Not one single pattern worked every where.
