he may not do that in real life but if you go to Huffpo that's how we are all thought of , backwoods drunks shooting anything that moves , it really does not help in keeping the current civil rights we now enjoy , the people who enjoy doing the things we do must understand we are all under a microscope and there are those that would love to commit a "Paula Deen" on us all because that's how they sway public opinion .... politics is everywhere whether you recognize it or not

I understand your point. To me Luke Bryan the singer is equal to Sponge Bob, Luke Bryan the person is the one donating tens of thousands of dollars every year to real people that need help. "Entertaining is fake on purpose." Should we blame Luke? He is just an entertainer acting/singing. How about the millions of real people that want what he is acting? Maybe it's a society issue, I am not sure. Are the parents that let their children listen to his music and go to his concert bad? I have seen/heard a lot worse music. Should we quit buying Mathews bows because Ted Nugent doesn't do everything by the script? I think he has some lyrics that are a little worse. Would you like to see America resemble the movie Footloose? I think we will agree to disagree, but your points are good and make me think a little different.

Agreed, I just come from a perspective where you don't justify one thing due to something else being worse.

Personally, I like the song. There's plenty of songs out there that talk about immoral or illegal things - it's part of life. Anyone who says they've never done anything wrong, immoral or illegal is most likely lying. In an era where we have video games promoting extreme violence, TV shows advocating and glorifying adultery and movies that run the gamut of lying, cheating, stealing, murdering and every other bad thing in the world I think the last thing anyone should be worried about is a good ol' boy out drinking a few beers and shooting his gun. I'll wager more people are killed in one night on the streets of Chicago than are killed in a few years from country boys firing off a few rounds while they're out in the woods.

With that said, it's always humorous to me how people are in denial of what "real hunters" or "real people" are like. On the Internet people like to preach about how high and mighty they are - never done anything wrong, wouldn't think of it, listen to a song about it or even dream about it! And if they did dream about it they'd hurry up and confess to their priest, mom and possibly the local law enforcement too.

Ah yes, God bless the Internet!

LOL, without a doubt for entertainment. Luke Bryan is a very serious hunter and a bow hunter at that. Being a Country artist in today's society is all about appealing to the masses, hence this whole "Pop Country" genre. This song is meant for a laugh and nowadays many people listen to country but don't hunt, this songs just plays along with their stereotypes of us hunters. I'm not saying its an amazing song but there is a reason he is the most popular Country Artist for the last 2 years.

Well incase people feel I was being high and mighty or what not I'll have you know I've failed miserably at times in my life, will continue to for sure as well. I just have a lot of respect for those celebrities (although there is few and not always in the mainstream media) who atleast attempt a higher level of integrity due to the audience they now have with their status. Justifying one thing based upon something less is just an excuse, it doesn't make it any less wrong or less illegal. I hear ya Justin on how more people die on the streets than out from some hillbilly drunk shooting his gun, but I'd venture to also say both are idiots in the decisions they've made just one is living on the streets the other in the country because that's how life was dealt for them...the tragedy of life if you will.

To produce songs just because they'll sell is selling out a lot...similiar to companies that product swamp year to year based on what they get out of it business wise. Builds no integrity and the people at the business slowly lose al credibility. <-We see this even in the hunting world with shows or "teams" who swear by products because they're bought and then oh my word they switch in a year or two...
