Good lord, thanks for reminding me why I hate country music. And yes, he's a tool for even putting that on paper
I like country music and after listening to this song have to say that he wasted space on an album with it. Whoever wrote that should be slapped in the head several times.
did he write this or did his record lable say here sing this song? im just sayin he is makin money singing and has to sing what sells. i wish i could make money bow hunting but nobody wants to watch me bow hunt, nothing makes me stand out from the other hundreds of ppl on tv hunting
Sorry someone as powerful as he is in the industry could have said "no" and that'd been the end of it. No way you catch guys like Alan Jackson or Josh Turner singing something like this....
Not sure on this. It doesnt sound like him if that makes sense. It just doesnt sound that great compared to other songs he has out. I think he or someone who wrote this was just trying too hard and you can tell when he is singing it.
this song was befor he was a big star this was 2 or maybe 3 albums ago. which yes i do agree he could have very easly said no but if it was his record lable that told him to sing it and you on the very vunerable part of your carrer do you sing what sells or take the chance? but i do agree he could have said no but we just dont know the surcumstances and heck its just a song lol
Yup gettin' drunk, shootin' empties and missing considerably were in all his hits. Not saying any of them are "great" role models but some are definitely better than others in my personal opinion.
Not to defend him because I absolutely hate this song, not only what the lyrics stand for but also just the song itself is just beyond bad, but.....This song did come out before Luke was incredibly popular, and if the record label wants you to put the song on the album, I'm sure at that point in his career he didn't have much of a choice...Now I could be wrong on that as well, as I have no idea on the process of putting songs on an album
Up here in the north, Luke Bryan is like a country music god for whatever reason. I love country, but do not like Luke Bryan, because like littlechief said, he overdoes his southern accent. The thing that I dont like is that most people up here don't hunt at all, or even shoot guns for that matter, and there are TONS of anti-hunters. The possibility that Luke Bryan fans from up here may interpret hunting as the way he describes it in the song is insulting to me. It makes me and the few of us in my area that do hunt, look like outlaws
