I just called my taxi to discuss something with him. He had me speechless and said my Buck is mounted but not finished  He said about three more weeks :) Thats the fastest I have ever got one back, its usually 3-4 months with him. Mine was # 5-- I believe in line as bucks being killled this year was way down. yeeeep eeeeee :D

Ah I see how it is;)

I went with a semi-sneak alert left turn. I haven't set eyes on him since October...I'm getting antsy. I couldn't imagine waiting the year+ that some people have to wait.

Matt I bet you are ansi :) I hate waiting :( My old taxi took around a year and really was NOT a quality mount. My new one used to really be into taxi but now he just takes on so many a year, and its just word of mouth, he dosent even advertise as he dose not want to much buisness. He is now retired and loves to hunt just like we do, and he is a Shed hunting fanatic, so he leaves time for himself in the woods ;) I cant wait to see your mount when its done, as it was a beautifull buck ;):) you should be proud :)

Thanks, Crick. I certainly cannot wait to see yours as well. He's a stud!

Your taxi sounds a lot like the guy I went to. He tans his own hides, only takes a select few jobs a season (no more than 15), and it's mostly word of mouth advertising. He did my father's Wisconsin mount, two mounts for my dad's good friend, and several members of our hunting club. All were VERY well done.

    I hate all of you.

The taxi that Justin and I use takes about 16 months to get back to us. That's right.. so a buck you take in 2009... you get back in 2011. Just writing that hurts.

But.. he's a good taxi.. and fun as haitis to talk with.

    Dang, that IS quick!

That's what sucks about me shooting mine so late in the season... I think that one was buck # 186 or something like that by that time... :(
