D-loop wearing out to quickly

    okay i got my bow 2 days after christmas. came with a d-loop on it. ive shot it maybe 200-250 times and my d-loop is starting to show bad wear. its starting to rip actually. could it be my release. on my old bow i had the same thing happen with the loop. with the same release? any ideas on a good realease that wont break me if it is that

    thats odd i would say its the release, look to see if there are any sharp edges. sand it down i guess.

    you could definately try sanding down the edges.. if not i have a tru fire hardcore fold buck hook release if you're looking to purchase a nice one

    i am using a tru-fire. it doenst have a specific type jjust tru fire

    Also, do you wax your D -loop?

    Yeah I'd definatelly say there is something up with the release. my last D loop had about 2,000 shots through it and it was just fine.

    I'd have to agree with it being a release problem. Maybe the calipers are sticking and it's not opening cleanly? Either way, I'd look at replacing both the loop and the release both.

    Yeah, something is up with your release.

    When you get a new D-loop, wax it every time you wax your string. It'll help it last longer.

    like i said before just check for burrs. run your finger along the edges of the release.

    I have 3 different Trufire releases and I like them all. But I really like the Hardcore release the best.
    A friend of mine had the same problem as you and he took a small fine file and went for his release. It had sharp edges and was doing the same as yours. After he did that it was all fine and dandy.
