I use a d-loop on my bow. It helps to reduce excess wear on the string. Just my .02.

I use a loop because I already have all the draw length I need and all the cool kids shoot loops.

I think most are shooting with a loop. I do for several reasons. One, they claim its more accurate because you're pulling the bow from directly behind the arrow, so the pressure on the top and bottom of the nock is the same. Makes sense to me. Second, its lighter than brass nocks, helping with speed. Third, its easy to adjust nock height with a loop. Finally, it saves the wear and tear on your center servings.

The loop does seem to help. With the shorter ata bows today I like to tie nocks inside the loop to help with the sharper angle and nock pinch.

A loop also helps to align my tubeless peep.

i shoot off of the string. speed nock above the arrow to alighn the peep sight and eliminator button beneath the arrow. agree more wear on the serving, but i am just more comfortable snapping on the string in hunting situations, but that's just me and how i've always shot. i would suspect that most people do use a loop, just whatever a person is most comfortable with.

I use a loop with nocks tied in above and below.
Use the loop to fine tune my anchor point.

set from my electronic carrier pigeon
