I have a z7 Xtreme with a custom string on it.

My peep is slightly right at rest and my d loop is straight back. No issue when I draw back with the peep as it rotates perfect into position every time.

My question is should the peep be straight back at rest aligned with the d loop and not off to the right.

My pro shop says its supposed to be off a little and other fellas say the string needs s twist to bring it around because its unbalanced!!!

    Who is correct?

I've never had a peep put on any of my strings that is perfectly straight back. It's usually turned a little bit left or right so the guy at my bow shop just lines the d-loop up with the peep sight. There's nothing wrong with the way yours is, plus you say it opens perfect so I'd just leave it as is.

When my d-loop is straight back my peep is also slightly rt, and it also rotates perfectly in view. My problem is that my peep sight spins around the string.

If you adjust your string by twisting to make your peep sight straight back then you will more then likely be making your cam's out of tune.

A half twist won't hurt your timing especially on a Mathews solo cam. You can try the half twist to straighten the peep but it could be too much depending on how far right it is. Once twisted shoot it 15-20 times. It allows the string to settle all the way through past the cam and idler. It just takes a little time, but if it over rotates to the left just take the untwist back out realign loop and shoot.
