Anyone ever use it? Does it give you a better guess on where you actually hit the deer or is it just a toy?

Posted from my phone so please excuse my brevity.

I have it and it is useful if you have video of your shot. That way you can precisely replicate the angle and trajectory of the shot to see what organs you've hit. If there is no video it's still guesswork.

If its the one I'm thinking of, I'm pretty Quiksilver used it on the buck he got this past season and has pictures from it here somewhere.

i use it on my itouch when im in the stand, i look around me and think of where the deer would come from, what the wind is, and what the position would be(ex quartering away) then i set up the shot on the app and see what i am most likely to hit its pretty fun to play around with, i guess it help alittle by telling you how long to wait

I have it and used it last fall. It's pretty neat, and helped me solidify what my shot was right after it happened.

Yes I use it and it is very helpful. I had a deer quartering away from me last year eating acrons and after I made the shot and ran it through Shot Simulator, I knew with confidence my shot was well placed. It is an awesome tool.

Very good tool, even if you don't have video I'll use my memory of what happened and try to determine the worst case scenario of the shot I took and treat the shot as that scenario. Also good for showing new hunters proper shot placement.

    So it's worth $20 bucks?

I think it was $14 when I bought it. You certainly don't need it, but I like having it.

I think it's VERY cool, and like mentioned above Quick used something like that in his thread last year. It's not for me, but I really like when guys post on here using it.

Not trying to be a wiseguy, but if you know the anatomy of a deer and can remember your shot enough to use a "shot simulator", then wouldn't your guess in the field be nearly identical to a shot simulator?

Brett, for me my shot and the next few seconds are always kind of a blur. Now matter the weapon or shot, I always second guess myself. Recreating the shot helped me re-visualize what happened, and in the case of last year, reaffirmed what I thought I saw.
