Anyone see the new broadhead from CX? 6 COC surfaces with bleeders, slightly resembling a movie/army prop. Named the F-15. Sort of resembles a jet fighter I suppose. I think it looks interesting enough, but from the littler bit of information I could find, they will be pricey (although I can't find them for sale anywhere yet) at about $50/3pack. Even CX's website doesn't have it listed yet. Does anyone have anymore information on these?

I was wondering how they would fly as well, but I found one report of someone saying their shop got a few to test out, and they flew well with a variety of setups. Time will tell. They look like they would be devastating, but from what I read through researching these, is that the 6 surface deal has been done in the past with little to no success, so it will be interesting to see the first official reviews of them.

It will be interesting to see if these take off. Whats the next "revolution" to be brought back? The circle broadhead designed to cut a circular hole through the animal? Maybe the drill bit looking broadhead that is designed to drill/cut through the animal?

Yeah, just one head. Found one place selling them. Looks like 100gr is it right now.

I don't know about Rob, but I may consider trying these out. I need to wait for a few more thorough reviews on them (at least specifications). Price is almost double what I pay for my slick tricks, and I've always been a fan of not fixing what's not broken, you know?

Agree'd...To a point. Some things aren't broke, only need to be retired at a certain age.
Please don't look at my sig line. That bottom one is just for fun. I get weird looks when I shoot that.

I took a couple pics of them at the ATA (actually K did). They were spiffy looking but looked like something that my light set up wouldn't agree with. They had expandables that were kind of the same design too.

Do you guys remember when they had scored aluminum arrows? I can't remember if you used a special broadhead with them, but anyhow, they broke off while they were in the deer and supposedly acted like a straw type drain to bleed out the deer. Speaking of weird things, did they ever sell those turkey tangler arrow/broadheads? The ones that were like an arrow with an anchor line on them. Did you guys see those?

Better, but I still don't like them.
More parts = more to break.

MGH, out of curiosity, where did you find that first picture of the fixed blade F-15? ;)

I'll let you all know how well they fly and kill in a few weeks.

I gots one to go pig stickin' in Oklahoma with.

Here are the spec sheet on these puppies:

    100 grain
    1 1/8" Cutting Diameter
    .030" Blade Thickness

EDIT: I don't know for certain how many blades will be packaged in the individual retail packs.

I have my sources:d Actually, I just found it posted on a traditional archery forum (not sure why those guys were discussing it:confused: ). How were you able to get a hold of a set already? Let me know how they pan out. What are your initial impressions? Tuning? Flight? Construction?

Those guys??;) Traditional hunters talk about this head because because It Is a fixed blade and not a mech. I don't know how good this head will do with a traditional set up. It looks awfully short and wide to me but then again pictures can be deceiving. Is the head fairly solid? If It Is I'd be Interested In It myself. If It's put together like crap you won't see It on my arrow.
