CWD is a growing concern, one that has given many a hunter pause. Here in Idaho, our F&G dept. offers a free CWD exam. So, after being taught how to extract what the F&G need for a examination, I pick up my free CWD packet before I head afield. When I'm processing my game afield, I collect my sample and drop it off with the nearest F&G warden I come across. It's an extra step but well worth it. Yes, if my test comes out positive, I have to discard the entire animal, but I have contributed to the entire wildlife management effort to control this disease. Thanks to the F&G dept. we can still hunt safely.
