ya know .. I was just wondering ... How many "other" diseases deer carry / have that we don't know about .. that we eat .. Does a deer get cancer? crohn's ? STD's? .. for that matter .. What diseases is the beef that is processed that we eat tested for ? ... kindda raises a few variable questions.... givin the multitude of Human diseases out there .. I have to wonder if the wildlife we hunt & kill isn't susceptible to the same or similar ailments?!

Living on a farm I asked our vet if he was ever worried about getting diseases from animals and he said very few diseases crossed species

Stop testing them... problem solved. I have seen the condition of some cows that meat processing plants take in and sell as prime beef. I hardly ever eat beef.

I am far less concerned about a deer that appears healthy than a cow drug in laying on a trailer before it could finish dying.
