CWD Has been a major issue in Wisconsin in the southern part of the state, Well CWD Has been tested positive on a buck at a Three Lakes Farm, (Right By Eagle River/Rhinelander).

Baiting will not be allowed next season (2016) In 3 Counties, Vilas,Onieda, And Forest.

Just sharing the news in case anybody hasn't heard about this!

I have heard a hunter shot it at Three Lakes Preserve LLC, And It tested Positive. This farm has 425 deer and is stated this buck was born at the farm.

It was a deer farm as usual. Not sure how that makes the risk greater for free roaming animals

And on a related note, the WI DNR has also relaxed some of the fencing regulations for Deer farms.

That is a crap load of deer to have on a piece of land. Thank you for the link, not that I was doubting but when I talk to my northern wisconsin friends I don't want to be shooting from the hip.

I think this disease is spread throughout the state/country, just a matter of testing the right animals.

I heard that. Wondering how it will affect us in Lincoln county just south of Oneida.

Being to the north and south of us it's just a matter of time. I'm not sure how Lincoln isn't affected by this recent discovery.
