I have a Fall plot of 3.5 acres that I planted with Pennington Rackmaster. Some of the plants have gotten well over 2' tall and my hunting buddy thinks we should cut a couple of strips in the plot. He says that it will help attract more wildlife with some cutting. Is he right?

The deer do prefer the tender new growth more, but we are about out of growing time in the midwest. If you cut it now you might not get any new growth and your stuck with nothing.

I wouldn't mow all of it but maybe a few strips would be a good idea.

I wouldn't touch it at this point in my area...but to each their own. Come winter time and crops gone they'll eat what's in it and still green.
