Ok, so on Craigslist I saw a PSE Brute for sale very cheap. Only concern is the ad listed that the strings had been cut. Did a little bit of research, and I can only imagine what had happened, my question is, what kind of damage could there be if someone just cut the strings? Is it worth the 60 bucks, or is the whole thing need rebuilt?

Best bet is see if he will let you take it to an archery shop. best if someone can actually look at it

Yeah thats a little odd. If he thought it was good, he wouldn't be charging $60. Or maybe he just doesn't know much. Good luck and let us know what happens.

I wonder how they got "cut", or was the bow dry-fired? I imagine there's way more to the story and the potential for a lot more damage is there.

I would go over that thing very carefully just to make sure it hasn't been dry fired. Check the limbs, pockets, cams and axles.

My vote was the bow was dry fired and he cut the string to get it off before taking it to the archery shop and finding out the limbs are f***** . But who knows, id ask to take it to a professional.
