Whatever happened to good work ethics?

I got a message on Facebook two weeks ago from someone hired to kill me. Seems they were warning me and trying to extort me at the same time. :woot:

    "
Good day to you , my duty is to kill / assassinate you as i have been paid to do so . He wants you dead at all means and i have limited time but from the picture given you don't seem to be that bad so i figured out i can contact from here since all calls is been monitored . I know you , friends , families so don't even think of act smart or call the cops they can't get me i have everything in control i promise you someone close will go down if you dare me . he is watching and me too .Your life has been paid for maybe you derserve to live if you act as instructed and not funny .from now you will take instructions from me and don't go out till i tell you too , turn down all appointment for today if you love your life and loved onces . be calm and act normal .contact me at once on [email protected] for instructions . "

English as a second language? Product of public schools? Perhaps a good cover??
    :lmao:
I'm flattered by the 'assassinate' term because, you know, regular people are just killed. You have to be somebody to get assassinated.

But it just doesn't seem to be professional to contact your mark via facebook. Really, what kind of hitman does this? Are there hitman twitter accounts I could be following?

So, I figure my friends and loved 'onces' can take care of themselves and I act just as abnormal as ever. I watched the facebook updates to see if any of my 'friends' started getting offed. Justin got into a car accident and I wondered if the assassin was incompetent enough to mistake him for an actual friend. ;)
Seems everyone is okay so far. The killer must be biding their time. Yeah.

So, I'll soon go outside to lock up the chickens... armed only with my flashlight... and hope the the hitman makes their move soon. It will either spare me having to take my next statistics exam or I'll have some free chicken feed. Kind of win- win either way.

    :ninja:

So watch your backs my friends and loved onces... If I should drop dead anytime soon, it might be due to the facebook assassin or (probably) that bad chinese food from that place in Peoria.

If Christine requests to be your friend on face book... you might want to ignore it for a while. Just saying ... :D

I am not much of a face book junkie but do have an account. Some gal from down south wanted to get to know me better with the possiblitly of marriage and raising kids. Looked like a cutie in the picture.

The wife said I couldn't be her friend !!!

So did he at least ask you on a date?

At this point you really almost must send a request for instructions.

I expected better out of you JZ. Like a sabotaged safety rope or a shipment from bowhunting.com with an incendiary device inside.

    You're slacking.

    "Just sayin''

Crick, I still can't believe you didn't friend Samantha Virk. ;)
I was going tell you.. I finally did get a proposition email. Not quite the romantic interlude request like yours tho' but now I don't feel so left out. :D

    MN_Jay, I love your avatar.

I never sent an email or even clicked on his/her user profile on facebook. One of my friends implored me to file a complaint so I did the 'report this' on facebook. I noticed the profile is now off of facebook. I figured I'd get a virus or something if I clicked on anything.

She strikes me as a little desperate.

LOL. Subtlety is not her strong point. ;)

She has a, um, 'brand' and she's not afraid to advertise it. :D Seems to be working for her.

I'm not a 'friend' of hers but Kendall is.
