My bow is somewhat of a hybrid, the stock cams were replaced with Cam 1/2's to accommodate my mutant 34" draw length. When I took the bow to the pro shop, they made custom strings for me due to the cam change to get me up and running. Since this is going to be the end of the 2nd year shooting it, I want to replace my strings. So... Can I take the strings and cables and send them to a string "maker" and have him/her measure them and make me new stings/cables? Or can I take measurements and get a set off the shelf? Whats a good "off the shelf" string? Learning this as I go...got a press now and am not afraid to do anything myself. I have learned a ton just tuning it this season, plus I just like to do stuff on my own. Suggestions? Thanks Sean
This guy makes awesome strings. I would contact him and he could tell you what he needs to make a set for you. http://www.hinkystrings.net/
I really like scorpion bowstrings. I was talking to the owner at APA Archery a coupla years back , he suggested them to me. when he switched to them on his bows He got almost 6 fps Gained. Good price too
My strings and cables are all standard and he has the measurements. Shoot Randy and email I am sure that once you two get communicating it will be worked out pretty easily.
I don't have my new strings from wicked1strings yet but have heard good things about them. He makes all his strings so if you give him your measurements than he can make you up a set. They are also fairly cheap. Check out their website.
