Look at the way younger people are writing and you can plainly see that spelling and grammar are not being taught. BTW, it is PHENOMENON not phenomenom.
I agree. Some people don't seem to have a strong grasp of what skills are most important in succeeding in today's world.
jesus, it is being taught, text speak is just very informal and shall I go through this forum and find all the horrible spelling and grammar mistakes by all the old people?

Oh well, I could not use cursive to copy paste this but it was fun! Long Live Cursive! HaHaHahahaha!!!
So how much do you guys need cursive in your daily lives? I don't think a signature hardly counts, since 99% of signatures aren't legible.
When I write....it's all I write in. I was taught it in school and just easier to write that way to me.
It's not like it takes that long to teach cursive. Couple weeks and they got it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
The whole reason this came up was there were several kids get into some issues at the high school and the court got involved. Part of the punishment was to write in cursive. None of them knew how but they have to anyway. The courts seem to think it necessary. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
What I said. As a plea, they have to write 500 times in cursive they won't do what they did again. As well as a 5 page paper in text. And community service. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
Cursive is pretty much useless as far as I'm concerned. However I just got a birthday card from a friend about 10 years younger than me who had impeccable cursive handwriting. But she's also a teacher. Maybe that factors in?
