I purchased two Cuddeback Captures today from Cabelas. Don't get too excited....they were from their Bargain Cave. Both cameras said "missing parts" and you could see that they were missing the strap/mounting bracket. I opened them and the strap/bracket was inside. Now I'm rejoicing! I put batteries in and a 2gb (non-sdhc) card like they recommended and away I went. I let it take a couple of pictures and then tried to view them in my handheld camera. That's when the air got let out of the balloon.....no image. The instuctions do say that some cameras will not be able to see the images. I hope that is the case and the laptop will be able to see them. Sorry for the long drawn out story....here's the short question; Anyone have similar results?
I have not experienced what you have, but I will say that Cudde recommends a 1GB card, not a 2GB. It says you can use "up to" a 2GB card. This shouldn't have any baring on your issue though.
Probably not much worry. Many times the sd cards will not work in other devices. One caution I would give you is to make sure you format the card to the Cuddeback and don't use it in any other device. Might save you some dissapointment in the future. Blessings.....Pastorjim
Thanks guys. I hope there's no issue. I just couldn't pass up the deal but have also heard some negative feedback in other past posts on here. I will dedicate two memory cards for them. Any thoughts on the viewer from them or Moultries viewer? I just would hate to wait until I get home to look at pics. It's nice to make adjustments in the field from what you see on the pics.
Here is a tip for all game cams...... just because you buy new batterys does not mean they are any good. Get a multi meter and check them before you install them, especially the copper top's..one low or bad battery will throw the hole deal off. Been there done that.
Also, make sure you go to Cudde's website and download the latest firmware for the cameras then install it on them. It will fix that bug of not being able to view the images on a digital camera, amongst other things.
Why didnt you test them before you put them in the woods? You do the same on your bow, why not your camera.
I thought I mentioned in the original post that I tried them out but if that part is invisible then.....I tested them before I put them out......but I didn't test my bow.
