I own 3 Cudde No flash and 1 Expert (flash) cameras. I use the Cudde card reader as well.

    No Flash:
Only a couple of things..... Of the 3 No Flashes, they all seem to get a "hard to read " display. This happens when they're left out in very cold weather for a while. Maybe it's my eyes! I try to wear my readers when I check them. I can make it out, mostly because I know the menus by heart. Not a catastrophe buy annoying.

One of them is overly sensitive to sun light and temperature change. It takes waaaay to many pics of............ nothing!! Better than none at all but uuuuugh!! It's a pain. I have decreased the sensitivity and experimented with placement in relationship with the sun, with slightly better results, but it could be tons better. One thing though, with the colder, overcast days of Dec and Jan, it worked much better. Almost as good as the other two.

    Expert (flash cam):
This is my oldest camera (5 years) and it has worked pretty darn good. A couple of times it froze up on me and I had to pop a battery out in order to resuscitate it. However, this year, it did not want to take pics at all. I had to walk right in front of it and flag it! That totally sucked! Right now, I have it at home and plan to work on it. We'll see how that goes.

All in all, they are pretty good cameras. I'm kind of surprised at how well they do work in the conditions they're in.

    Anyone have similar experiences?

Have you experienced anything that you found the cure for?

    Lets hear them.

I have only owned a Cuddeback for about a year now (Capture flash model)

    2 things i have disliked:

    Yellow flash tint (easily corrected)
Blurry daytime photos if animal is moving

    Picasa :)

All you do is hit "im feeling lucky" and all yellow is gone. Very simple.

I had to send my 1 1/2 year old Cuddy Flash in for repairs a month ago. Like you said, it kept freezing up and would have purple streaks in the pics, I would pop out a battery and it would work another week or so until it quit alltogether. I sent it in along with $75 dollars I think it was and it came back in a week and a half and has worked fine ever since.

Not exactly sure. There was no note inside explaining what they did to fix it or if they replaced mine. I didn't have mine marked, so I don't know if I got mine back or not.

But the one I have works fine so I don't care.:)

As long as the one you have works, I wouldn't care either.

I had some problems with my card reader and had contacted Cuddeback and they told me about a refurbished program that they had for around the same price as you mentioned, that's why I asked.

As for my card reader, before I sent it in for a refurbished one, I called the place I bought it from and asked if they had any tips for my problem. I tried what they said and had it fixed in 10 minutes. Pretty happy about that.

I've got 2 No Flash Cuddebacks (2007 and 2008 model).

So far the problems I've had with my 2007 model was the battery's falling out while In the tree. That was because of the old design (blue tab holder for the battery's). I sent the camera back this last fall and they sent me a refurbished one. It cost me $80.00 I think It was with a full year warranty. So far so good with this one. I've also had trouble reading the screen on my No Flash also but these temps were In the -20's. My Reconyx screen wasn't the easiest to read either but I don't think It matters none what type of camera or anything that has a digital screen In temps such as that. Nothing works up to par, everything Is slow.

This winter In the real cold temps (-20's) my No Flash once In a while wouldn't take video's but would take pics. I have my No Flash set up to take one minute video's and pics.
