I currently am using some cheaper trail cameras. They all are IR. I am wanting to pull the trigger on some cuddebacks. There is no doubt they take some great photos. I am leaning towards the Capture. I am just wanting to know what some of you like or dislike about the Capture or the CaptureIR.
    Thanks.

I have a Capture and love it. Great quality pictures (day and night), fast trigger speed, and awesome battery life (I probably have over 4000 pictures on the same set of batteries I put in last January).

My only complaints are that one in a few pics (I'm guessing 1 in 200) are black. Like the flash didn't go off. Also, my O-ring is coming out

    :hijacked:
Quick thread hijack...........didn't someone else have problems with there O-ring coming out? I'm thinking of just superglueing it back in
    Hijack over

When the capture flash version works its a great camera. I had to send 3 cameras back in a month from Cuddeback because they couldn't send me one that worked. They send you replacement cameras and after the 3rd one they told me I would have to pay them to fix it because my warranty was up even though it was there fault because they couldn't send me one that worked. I told them I was using there camera for sighting in my 30-06 and burned my bridge with them. There customer service is by far the worst out there.

I definately would not get a Capture IR. The night-time pics I have seen from it are almost unviewable.

    Blessings.....Pastorjim

I have 2 Capture's and I have no complaints. Great day/night pics and a really good battery life.

I have 2 Cuddeback NoFlash cameras that I really like. I have no experience with the Capture but have always heard great things about it. The CaptureIR on the other hand, I have not heard good things about it. I've heard from several people that the night pictures are not all that great.

    Capture IR $180

I have a Capture IR and the battery life is terrible. The batteries would last about a week and a half or 1000 pictures. I purchased it last December and used it through February. I thought maybe the battery life was poor because of the Wisconsin cold winters but so far this spring it has not been any better.
I am currently trying to sell my Capture IR in order to purchase another Reconyx--they are worth every penny spent on them. On the Reconyx I currently use I receive up words of 14000 pictures whether it is cold weather or warm. There are never blank pictures and the quality of the pictures is better than anything out there.
