I just though i'd post a few because Greg was asking some questions about the Cuddeback Capture and white flash vs IR cams.

This particular treebelt is a half mile long and it had corn on both sides this year. There are only 2 people that hunt this piece, the man i archery hunt with and myself. It only got hunted maybe half a dozen times year because we both felt that these bucks needed at least another year or 2.

I just thought it would be a good example of what an unpressured herd will tolerate because Greg stated that he bought some of his own land. Please keep in mind that this cam was out from August till...well it's still out, but it's only been checked 3 times i believe. I'll post some of a 15-20 acre parcel that i gained permission for this year.

Those pics are great and so are the bucks.

Do these cameras only operate 24 hrs/day or can you set them for day or night operation?

24 hrs. a day. You cant simply just cover up the flash from the outside because if you do, and the flash goes off, the light will reflect and the inside of the camera will have an effect like flipping on a light switch and the bulb burns out, if that makes any sense. Trust me, i've tried it.

Even when i open the cover and put my palm over the flash and triggered the cam in total darkness i can still see it go off. The only thing you may be able to do is to detatch the wire going to the flash, or do something with the sensor that detects the amount of ambient light but i haven't tried either of those yet, because i don't fully understand how that circut board works.

Or you can wait and buy 1 of those new Reconyx no glow cams when they come out. Maybe there's an electronics expert around here who could help out.

That's OK if it works 24 hrs. It fits my needs. I've got other cameras that I can set for day only.

    Thanks.
