I purchased my second Capture in January and used it shortly before the season ended. It went through two sets of batteries in about three weeks before the season ended. I have updated the firmware and now it is killing batteries again this season. I cannot even get it to come on with brand new batteries tonight. Anyone having similar issues?? Help!!!!!
every post like this really makes me greatfull i got into homebrews!! sorry i can't help with you're problem bushnell doesn't do much marketing but have some great camera's as well. take out the baterries for ten mins and retry, turn the unit on also take a multimetre to the bats...new doesn't mean a lot these days.
Wish I could offer you a solution but I can't, other than to say; I hope you sent your warranty card in when you purchased the camera. If you didn't, don't expect much from their customer service. And even if you did, be prepared to be asked for another $100 or so to replace your camera. Good luck! Blessings.....Pastorjim
I am now experiencing my FIRST issue with my Cudde Capture Flash cam. It's taking close up pics, but it won't take them past 10 feet! I had it in the woods for 2 weeks and had zero pics, except one of me approaching it up close.! Anyone else experience this crazyness? I have found out that these Captures come pre-adjusted from the factory for sensitivity. There is no adjustment for this with the Capture Flash. I'm lost for answers.
I have 2 Capture IR's and haven't had any issues except when using Energizer batteries. The Energizers only last about a week or two. Duracells last for months.
You may want to test each battery if you have a meter. I have had brand new NIB dead batteries so I now check each one.
I purchased a primos Truth 3.5 cam a while back have taken over 2500 pictures and it shoots out past 40 ft. havent changed batteries yet and shows 70% life still in the batteries. Takes good pics for me and love the thing I plan on getting two more and they are only $100 bucks.Hope you get your battery problem figured out.
My Capture IR burns through batteries much faster than the Capture flash. However, it does not go through them fast enough to create a problem.
