Last I checked... We still have a winning record versus the Cards. We've owned them over the last 2 years and in the all-time series.. so... we'll see what happens and talk about this again in July.:d
It's early in the season, we are in 1st place and our ace is on the DL until June. Let me have my fun, huh? :D
I actually think you guys have a pretty good team this year.. but I still take the Cubs in the division. We've got more depth than the Cards..
Lack of a closer will hurt us. Motte or Perez needs to step up. The Cubs are loaded with pitching and have a great lineup. I'm just hoping for a close race.
Because by the All-Star break.. we can usually see which teams are going to survive.. and which are gonna fall.. and which are surprising the heck out of all of us all.
What I don't understand is all this we talk? There is no we... You guys don't run out on the field...it is they!! Just because they are your team, does not make you part of the team!!!
Because we all know what happens to the Cubs that time of the year and Cubs fans to like to talk about it!... :d :d
You know what I love about that September BS.. it happened like once or twice EVER in the late 1960's to the Cubs. The Cubs... even on bad years have some of the strongest records ever in September.. so I'm pretty confident in all that. I wish people understood history better.. but that's the kind of material they conceal in books.:d BWF.. we (as in Cubs fans) are the top dawgs in our division.. have been for the past 2 years and 3 out of the last 5.. so why does everyone look to us to loose.. we keep winning. Ya'll need to look at your (and by your I mean fan-wise) teams a little closer. The Brew-crew just made into the playoffs last year on a whim (the Cubs sat their starters for like 8 games straight) and like the first time in 26 seasons or something to that effect... Congrats Brewers fans.. your team has finally done something worthwhile other than moving into a beautiful stadium.. maybe now you'll fill it with something other than Cubs fans.:d In July we'll talk.. that's when I'll laugh at Brewers fans.. who likely will be hushed by then.. and I'll remember this post.. but I won't say nothing.. it's not my style.. I'll just smile REAL BIG when I meet you one day. :d
I'm sure I'll get my teeth kicked in since STL choked today, but I have to say something in defense of the Brewers. Most Brewers fans were alive the last time Milwaukee went to the World Series. Very few Cub fans can say that about their team.:d
