    Excuses??

None. But I suggest you pick up a book of winning Septembers.. then you will think yourself foolish.:D

What I find most fascinating is Cards fans.. who all year where like "Cubs are going down etc"... then got hushed rather quickly when the Cubs easily caught up (in like 4 games) in this lame division of ours. Now that the Cubs falter.. here you come again.

Like lambs to the slaughter.. but hey.. I know my team sucks.. whats the Card fans excuse? You've been barely hanging on even while your team tries SO much to win.. our team gave up weeks ago... maybe months ago.

We'll see what September brings.. but based off history.. Cubs will hold their own in what has always been one of their strongest months of the year.:p

My FAVORITE happening of this baseball season....

Cards buying BACK DeRo... and then his stats slip.... lmao

I don't agree with the comment that the Cubs simply "gave up months ago though".

Mega talent sure, but plagued with injuries and newer players... Its amazing they've even held on.

Wait a minute Duke. I've heard from you guys all summer that the Cards pitching won't hold up, wait till ARam comes back, yada yada yada. Pujols, DeRosa and Holliday have all cooled off. Yet hear it is, mid August and the Cubs are fading.

Winning Septembers? The Cubs are going to need one hell of a September to finish above .500. :D

No.. no you didn't hear from us at all. It was ONLY ever said after some inept Cards fan starting calling the season months ago.

We Cubs fans merely suggested that the season was far from over at that time.. just like I'm doing once again now.

The Cards pitching does blow.. you should know that.. just as our hitting has blown all year. No reason to deny it.. I can read stats too.

Their only 4.5 games back.. and I'll explain that to you Cards fans who always amaze me that they don't seem to get it.

Their be like 6 weeks left this season.. like 50 games left.. after today they could VERY well be only 3.5 games back...

IN baseball... 50 games is a lifetime.. in fact.. like 2 other teams in this same division are still VERY much in this.. although personally I think it comes down to Cubs/Cards.. usually does.

What should scare the HAITIS out of Cards fans is that with all the injury and complete ineptness on the field the Cubs had ALL year... they're still right on the Cards heels.. which is kinda sad really for the Cards.. who think their playing well.

It will come down to the end.. almost always does.. but I hate when people talk about the Cubs falling in September.. cause history has proven otherwise.. they just get that old saying from the late sixties teams who fell hard in that month. I kinda think people are a little foolish when they say it.. it's like repeating what some neighbor told you about another neighbor that really holds no water.

I'll hand it to the Cards for all their recent acquisitions to try and take this division.. but even that may not save them.

With 50 games still to go... c'mon.. your joking.. right?

Either way.. one of these teams will be a HUGE disappointment in October anyway.

Can ya now? :p Carpenter has the 2nd best ERA in the bigs, Waino is tied for 2 with the most wins. Pinerio is in the top 20 in starters in MLB. Franklin has 28 saves and an era below 1.50.

    You were saying?:D
