I sent Fitz a pm to see if he will just change the name of this thread for us, so we can just keep this one going. I figure we should probably do some introductions.

Guess it is obvious what my name is, ill be hunting in SE Iowa on 40 acres of private ground that I was able to lease this year. Have 2 very nice bucks on my hit least, and a whole bunch of 8 pointers on the do not shoot list. I also have some other private ground I hunt does with a buddy on, and thousands of acres of public ground I do my shotgun hunting on. This will be my 3rd year bowhunting. My 1st year I bowhunted public land and was able to take a small buck from the ground. Last year I took 3 does and a odd ball 7 point off some private ground I got permission on. Season opens oct 1st for me, Ill be in a tree or my blind on the 1st-3rd, then ill have a day or 2 every week to hunt after that, and then 9 days starting oct 31st-nov 9th. I run trail cams all year, if yall want to see some of my pictures look me up on facebook, have all the albums on there..... Good luck to everyone and lets have a good, safe season.

These are my hit list bucks, the first two pics is a 8 pointer I named "Tiney" I think I have a picture from my cam pull last week showing him with a couple split tines, so he may be a 10 point now, just wasnt a good enough picture to tell for sure.

The last 2 pics are of an 11 point with split brows and g2s. He is just impressive. I have good pictures of him showing his growth this year, he just started showing up the Monster Raxx site one day and keeps coming back. Really Really like this deer.

Here's a decent picture of the little guy I've been getting on camera. He's been coming through just about every day. I'd probably take him if it came down to it, but I'm interested in waiting for his older brother to show up.

Here's a picture of a good size bear I got in the same spot. Think I might try and get a crack in at him soon.

 that'd be pretty neat looking to have both flags up there though.

It will take someone a lot more talented with paint and photoshop to do that.

Looks like introductions have started. John Helfant from Roxbury, VT. I've been bow hunting for about 27 years now, but only seriously for about 5yrs. I'll be hunting on my 50 acres, as well as some other spots near the house. I also go to NJ in September for the opener on the 14th, October and December, alot of deer there and there is an unlimited antlerless limit. In VT the season starts October 5th and I'll be on stand for 4 days straight looking for one of the bucks I've had on trail cam this year. Then a few days a week, each week of the season after that. Pretty sure I can manage a doe and a buck before the cut off date, I just don't know how big the buck will be. In VT maybe 115-120. NJ has bigger bucks, 130-150 but we are only there a few days at a time. Just hoping I can help the team get over the top. Looks like some of you are on some really fantastic deer. I'm on the site quite often, looking to have a good time with this and win as well.

Having a good time is all that matters. If you get a chance at a buck, and you are happy with it, take it, do not hesitate.

My names Nate rauch. I live and hunt in Eden Wisconsin. (80 acres of swamp/ hardwoods) I share it with like four other guys tho. I'm hoping we put some down. Like I said earlier not planning on shooting a doe off that land but maybe a different piece. I've been hunting since I was 12 and bowhunting since seventeen. I'm 23 now. Good luck everyone! I'm looking forward to the season

Tjf I am only living in California temporarily, thank God. I was hoping to get to hunt blacktails while I was here but I broke my elbow and am just now getting back into good shooting for. I am from Tennessee and will be going back in October to hunt for about two months. Sorry for the confusion!

Hey guys, my name is Leo. I've been hunting for 22 years, this is only my second season bow hunting. I got my first recurve at 12 and my first compound at 14, so archery itself is not a new hobby. I predominately hunt 160 acres of old growth behind my house that is posted land, myself and my father are the only two allowed and I hunt a 5 year old selective clear cut real close by that is 400 acres. Off these two pieces we have tagged a few that have field dressed over 200lbs and a few 150-160 inch bruisers. Good luck this season guys.

Hey guys, my name is Jeff carpenter and I'm originally from Meredith, NH but moved out to Kansas after college with my wife who's originally from the Midwest. This will be my third season bowhunting. Her family has an abundance of ranch, ag, and timber ground and I'm blessed to have sole bowhunting access on all of it.

The drought down here and resulting blue tongue the last two years was pretty detrimental on the mature buck population. There's still some out there and I'm hoping to connect on another November bruiser this season, but so far I'm getting pics of a lot of 2 and 3 year olds that ill likely encounter but won't shoot as I'm trying to be a good manager on the properties.

My wife and I work as RN's so a three day work week is favorable for us to spend a lot of time on stand together. She'll be behind the camera and hopefully a few videos and lots of memories captured on film will come out of the 2013 season.

Myself and a buddy started a bowhunting blog last spring called www.buriednockbowhunting.com and ill be posting a lot of my encounters to the journal section and will try to stay updated on here as well. I have aspirations of someday making it on a few pro staffs and running a successful bowhunting blog. You guys feel free to check out the site and give me feedback if you'd like.

I'd like to wish everyone on the cross country slayers a great and safe season and especially thank Wes for the logo design and assuming responsibility as captain.

Acts of the wolf I'm really liking the description of your hunting ground and am predicting one of those mature giants is going to get harvested by you this season.

Thank you Jeff. Can't wait till the opener. We, being the wife and I, saw an absolute giant across the road from our house a couple weeks back. That buck was a main frame 12 with a split g1 on his right and a ton of junk. Guess what deer is camera shy? lol

Hey guys! My name is Tristan Mills, and I am 25 years old. I am from Nashville, Tennessee but I am currently living in Monterey, California due to the fact that my wife is in the Air Force. I hunt around 500 acres in middle Tennessee as well as a large tract of public land nearby. I have been hunting for four years, one with a compound and three with traditional bows. I will be going home for two months while my wife finishes tech school so I will be able to hunt every day! This is my first contest so I am excited to see what everybody makes happen! Good luck and happy hunting!

Hi, I'm Eric, I'm 29 and I'm from Missouri. Opening day here is Sept 15th and I have taken the 15th & 16th off so I can have 2 full days hunting. After that I will be getting 3-4 sits a week until I have a buck down. I have sole access to around 5000 acres but 90% is fields so I mostly keep to a 500 acre area. This is my 2nd year hunting with a bow, last year I killed a nice 142" and 3 does, this year I have a couple of nice 130" and more does then I can count. This year I have planted 2 kill plots so I hope this will increase my chances and I will get pic up this Sunday after I have pulled my cameras. Good luck to everyone and lets have some fun!!
