Out with my 15yo daughter Kylie. It's her last youth weekend. We are out with the rifle in an apple orchard adjacent to a hay field. The deer at rutting here. Hopefully she will see something. Youth hunters can take buck or doe this weekend. I'll be back on stand a week from today, bow in hand. image.jpg image.jpg

Thanks guys! Yeah I just saw that I will fix it now. Vermont I was in a treestand and he was at spitting distance haha. I rattled him up and he came to the base of my tree and I had to wait for him to leave before I could shoot. I would say generously he was at five yards. Shot was high I guess because of the sharp angle and dropped him instantly. I put a second in him to end him quicker.

Running out of shooters. My buddy shot this one tonight on the land we hunt. I didn't see a deer but I did flop a big ol tom in his tracks.[IMG][IMG]

Mid-season check-in. How is every ones season going. Mine has been really slow. Not seeing very many bucks at all, the few I am getting on cam are at night. Have seen very little rut activity. would have had a chance at a shooter on Halloween, if I would have been sitting in my blind instead of a tree stand. Should be hunting today, but the wife asked me to stay home since she did not have work or class, she does not usually ask much of me during hunting season, so i obliged her even though it is one of the colder days of the year so far. I will be out tomorrow for sure though. Hoping things pick up, deer have just disappeared from my property, very few does hanging around.

We have a few points on the board, we have 5 does=250pts, a fergie clause buck=50pts, and still waiting on Dave(bushnlo) to post up the score of his buck=94pts...

Think that is right any way...
    Does- English,Slugger,Vermont, bush, and me
    Fergie buck-Victory
    Bushnlo buck

    Point total=394

Let me know if i am missing anything.

We are looking good. I may or may not sit in stand this afternoon. I have thurs fri and sat off work so plenty of time to get back in the stand. Looking to close the deal on a buck so I will pass all does over the next 3 days of hunting.
