This is how hunting goes for most of us. I had tons of action today but the nice 8pt never gave me a good shot. Still a 135 running out there that I hope to get after since the 150 I had last year I still cant locate. I will be back out in the morning.

Guys...it's killing me to write this, but I had a monster tonight at 30 yards and wasn't able to get a shot. I layed down 8 minutes of video of him. He's a new buck I've never seen before. He has a small drop tine on his right beam and an inside tine next to his left G2 along with a right g3 sticker. It's the biggest buck I've ever seen from the tree. I think he'd have easily passed my 153" from two years ago. I'm pretty bummed out right now, but I'm praying he'll make another appearance while I'm off and hunting.

Here's a few still shots from the video I took from the footage and recorded with my phone from the computer screen. They really don't do him justice. I'm sorry for the poor quality. I'll try to post something higher quality later.

Congrats on your buck Bushnlo !!

Jeff good luck on the buck. He looks nice !!

Sorry for not being on lately. Corn harvest has keep me from hunting and even being on the computer for the last week. I have the weekend off unless the boss changes his mind. Looks like some good winds for my good spots. I've been close on a few bucks the last few times out. Hopefully this weekend I can finally seal the deal and put one on the ground.

    Good luck to everyone !!

So it looks like things are getting better with the buck situation for a few of us. I pulled my card 2day and on 2 of my cameras that are about 100yds apart I got day time pic of my number 1 buck twister. He was in my kill plot at 5:20pm chasing a doe and then 5:40pm on the other camera. These are the 1st day pics of him since before season opened. I will be out hunting the kill plot on tue and wed pm. All season long I have been having does in the kill plot during daylight so I hope that continues and he is on there tail. image.jpg image.jpg

Hoping to get out this week sometime if I get done with work early. Passed two small bucks thismorning. Have not seen a doe in about two weeks. Neighbor is combining corn so hopefully it moves some deer

Be out with my 15yo daughter for her last youth weekend this coming weekend. No season here till rifle season begins on Nov 16, I'll be out with my bow this year and leave the rifle to my wife. Hopefully will be able to connect with a buck between Nov 16 and Dec 1.

Action packed day in Kansas! Had five different encounters of bucks chasing does and grunting. Saw 15 deer and logged 6 hours on stand. One buck was a three year old named triple crown. It was great see this guy on the hoof. Still hoping a big boy will make an appearance for me. Tomorrow looks like we're getting rain all day. Not sure if I'll sit or not. Trying to track blood in a rainstorm seems pretty counter productive to me if I did happen to connect. Good luck everyone!
