***Cross Country Slayers - Team 15***

Welcome to Kansas! You timed your trip perfectly! The rut is fixin to pop off anytime now! Little ones are chasing, rubs and scrapes are showing up all over, and the mature books are working their way ever closer to daylight activity. I love this time of year. IMO the first official day that things are going to be outta control (according to what my weather channel app is showing) is next Tuesday or Wednesday. It's been a little cold the last few mornings here, temps are gonna climb a bit over the weekend and through Monday, but Tuesday/Wednesday it looks like we have a cold front moving down, possible precipitation and a 10-15 degree temperature drop. The big boys oughta be on their feet for that! Good luck while you're here, I hope u put down a Kansas Stud!

30 degrees, 4 mph wind and a little frost. Perfect out! The neighbor was running coons with dogs in the corn field last night so hopefully he kicked some deer into our woods. Heading out after my coffee

 

Not 100% positive, but I think maybe a team member put down a buck today. Reason I am not positive is because he posted BBD on facebook, but he runs camera for a bunch of people, so dont know if he was the shooter or the camera man.

 

No luck for me this weekend. Starting weds I have 10 days off solely for hunting so I need to make something happen.

 

No luck here either but my buddy shot a pig of a doe tonight

 

3 days until I hit the woods guys! Man I can't wait to get back in a tree! Good luck to anyone out there hunting!

I just scored him and he is only 94 inches i should of passed him but he looked so good chasing does!LOL a way bigger buck came in 2 minutes later but since i shot one i was tagged out and could only watch him.sorry guys i will have to shoot a bigger one for you next year.i will post it tomorrow.

 

Points are points man, he was still a good looking buck, and I'm sure watching him chase got the adrenaline pumping and made for a fun hunt. Congrats.

Well boys, I should have followed my gut. I sat in a tree stand all day, and thought about going and sitting in the blind around noon because it was raining. I didnt have my black hunting gear so I decided against it. But I did sneak back there at last light to check on it and pull the card on my cam. I bumped a deer out of the field, it didnt blow, just bounced away. Get home and pop the card into the laptop, back up to the last pic to see what it was. It was Tiney, one of my target bucks standing right in front of my cam with plenty of light left to shoot. I feel sick....
