Waited a little over an hr. This is I heard him run so far off I knew he didnt bed near me. The blood was all consistant with him constantly moving and not stopping the entire way. I just don't get how we can go so far then it just stop. We even found chunks of lung too. He's dead but I have no clue where.

Running through a lot of brush picks up a lot of pollen and seed and junk. Clots a hole really fast. If you didnt get a complete pass through also and the shot was just a little high the blood will be pooling inside instead of flowing out. Have to do a grid search and try to follow tracks from last blood.

Just arrived in NJ and off loaded. Will be up in a few hours to climb a tree for the morning sit. Looking for a decent buck the next 5 days. Good luck everyone. I'll post on the "Live From the Stand" thread and of course if I shoot one I'll drop a line right here. Talk to ya all later today.

We'll I have a bit of good news, my number 1 buck that famished just before season is back :) I got a pic of him working a tree branch at 8pm only 20yds from my kill plot. So I'm going to start a scrap close by. I'll be back out on sat and Sunday AM then I hoping a full day on Tuesday which it's saying will be low 30 hi 50 so should be a good day. Will keep live from the stand updated.

After this afternoon's hunt... I am ready to pull my hair out !! Had a big buck coming in on a string a little bit before sun down. Been awhile since the old ticker was pumping this hard. He was nice !!!!! Dirty bugger veered off about 40 yards away and I had no shot. Then I got swarmed by group of does and fawns until dark. Managed to get out of there without anyone the wiser.

Tomorrow I am moving in a little closer to the bedding area and hopefully he does the same thing twice.

For a full moon the deer were moving late this afternoon !!!

Kind of a depressing walk in, I checked all my cams and no bucks. Have not seen my shooters on cam for over a month, starting to worry bout them a little. I've decided to sit in the blind today on a cut bean field and just see what happens.

Nice turkey, few squirrels, a yote, bunch of crows, couple geese, and a big *** pheasant. Just no deer.
