i think the only thing I have left is a pack or two of burger. Its gonna get turned into chili here pretty soon when it gets cooler. Like to freeze it, then throw it in pint bags and freeze, then thaw and heat up before I go hunting and take it in a thermos. Nothing like a nice hot cup of chili when sitting a cold *** stand.

Well fellas, I don't think there's anymore does in Kansas haha. I saw two squirrels tonight that's it. I won't be back at it until Sunday evening . I may give my food plot stand a try and let my doe set cool down for a week or two. I'll know more after I check cams over the weekend.

Congrats again Wes! Great job on the doe.

In case yall didnt see it here is a video of my hunt and recovery. Not the best, but not bad for my first time trying.

Wish I would have kept my arm up and gotten the impact.

Well I got out way before light and didn't bump any deer on the way in which is a good thing. Hopefully the deer swing by my stand for some acorns before bedding.

Britney and I will be out this afternoon trying to find a spot out of this crappy wind. Tomorrow morning I will be out and then both of us in the afternoon. Hoping one of us does good.

Was a good night. Britney had a good time. Had 5 different bucks wandering around us but the guy we were interested in was across the pond. He is a pretty nice buck. Buck movement was very good this evening once the wind started going down.

She did see a good buck but he turned and walked back into his hiding spot. No idea which buck that was as I couldn't see in the area she was watching. Could be a new one so I need to check the camera tomorrow after the morning hunt.

Back in the ridge top stand looking for one of the bucks I caught on camera this Summer in VT. Then back to NJ for the rest of the week. Might take one more doe there but pretty much buck hunting.

How we doing fellas? I hope y'all are seeing more than me! I'm out here looking for a nice fat doe for the freezer and somehow I've turned into a yearling buck magnet!!! The last two years by now I've filled my doe tags and am sitting back waiting for the rut. Hopefully I can get something done tonight. Good luck everyone!

Well shot a roughly 135 inch 8 pt this morning and tracked him for 4 hrs. Killzone broke off in him. Good broadside shot. Dont understand how he kept going. Tracked him for about 300 yds and blood just stopped. Circled for about an hr looking for blood or him with nothing. Sucks. Guess I will be back out in the stand on thursday. Good luck to everyone else

Overlooking a small pinch point between a woods and a... Well knob with trees I guess. Two heavy trails that are pounded are within twenty.[IMG]
