The part that gets me is that he has been photographed less than 200 feet from my house.

Well I saw a nice one last night while driving. He was on the next property from where I hunt. Not sure on points because he was too far away but boy he was wide n tall. Now I'm even more excited!

Can't wait I'll be in stand Saturday morning in Zone 8, Highbridge. Just about jumping out of my skin.

Thanks JCraig, hoping to get on the board with a bonus deer. I have to take an antlerless deer first during Sept in NJ. THEN I'll see what walks by with antlers. I get pretty picky in NJ with bucks, there are some huge ones there. When does ME bow start?

Well guys checked some cams a few days ago. The bucks are hard horned now, but still elusive as ever. Corn is close to getting cut, beans should soon follow and I'm hoping for some more activity on camera when that happens.

I'm working a long stretch in KC right now and will miss the KS opener. But, I have a buddy flying in next Friday and I'm off for 10 days straight. I don't plan on getting on a buck, but u never know what can stroll by once you're in the tree. I do however plan on doing some serious doe patrol. I should be able to get them on film and get some points on the board for us.

Good luck to all who are already up a tree. Great bucks posted above, I hope y'all get a crack at em!

Looks like a nice buck. Good Luck!!

I talked with the landowner where I hunt in Kansas and he was just starting to harvest his corn. He said that his corn didn't do too good because of the lack of rain in the spring but the rains in August helped him atleast salvage some corn. His Milo, on the other hand, did real well and the deer were hitting it like crazy.

Good luck on your 10 day hunt!

Good luck to everyone hunting already! My season opener isn't until October 5th here in PA...

We have an expanded season in specific areas that started last Saturday, but nobody will give me permission to hunt.. Regular archery starts Oct. 3 I believe.

Thats pretty crummy. In both VT and NJ you can hunt on any unposted lands plus there are lots of public lands and few bow hunters.

Yeah I have a few spots to hunt regular season but most of the expanded area ends up being someone's land out behind their house. Not necessarily all posted but it might be kinda weird parking in the driveway.

Couldn't sleep, not supposed to be up till 4:45. NJ season opens at 0610 hrs today. Weather is great 48 degrees, clear, light but steady wind. Purchased an IPhone bow mount, tried it out yesterday. Works great, there is shot shock on the video but it is better then nothing. See ya all in the stand in a few hours, hunting a suburban piece of public land, its an odd ball piece that most guys wouldn't hunt, close to the road and about 80-100 yards from the nearest residence. Tons of deer though so hoping to tag a doe which is required here in early season. Send some pics once the sun comes up.
