I will try to put something down this week. i passed on a doe an two young bucks (got to let them grow) two days ago. im hopeing to get out tonight. I just got some tough news yesterday. The spot we were going to be hunting in Illinois has fallen apart. Some BS that I don't even know what is true or what isn't true anymore. So I've paid $400+ for my tag and as it stands right now, I'm out of a place to hunt. We're scrambling trying to find somewhere to go now. Its really disheartening when the rug has been pulled out from under us less than 6 weeks from the trip. Anyone got any ground in Illinois I can hunt? lol
WOW that sucks! I sorry that that happend! I wish i had some land in ill. cuz i would definately let you guys hunt on it. But i believe everthing happens for a reason. Even if its bad or REALLY bad. Just keep looking and im sure you will find some land.
8 1/2 hrs until I hit the stand. Opening day has finally come... Hunting the foodplot pictured above in the morning and going after the wide 8pt at the apple tree in the evening. It'll be hard to sleep tonight! Goodluck to all going out tomorrow

Was a fair opening day for me. I didn't hunt this morning, but had a decent buck come through my setup this afternoon. He would approach 120 but not surpass it. Photo isn't that great. He will be a real nice one in another year or two. After he came through he bedded down 40 yards directly down wind for 45ish minutes until dark when he raised from his bed and headed to the bean field.
Seen 5 does this morning but none in range, Had a 5 pt come by at 25yds around 9:45. Hunted the apple tree this evening and had a doe without fawns come in at 6:30. At 6:45 she was taking a dirt nap. 17yd shot 30yd recovery from POI. Checked a cam today at a new spot where the red and white oaks are dropping pretty good. Had a 145-150" 10pt show up Thursday and Friday between 6 and 6:45 a.m. I'll probably sit this stand in the morning. Goodluck guys and cool pic buckeye. Time to for bed. 4:00 will be here shortly
Congrats Chris Deer are starting to fall according to the Contest scoreboard. I'll be home till at least Thursday due to having to get all my stuff put away for the winter an I need to winterize my 5th Wheel. Looks like we have some nice cool weather coming to Ohio this weekend. Should make for some great stand time with the highs in the mid 50's and low's in the mid 30's. The NNW wind should be ok for a couple of my stands. Would rather have the usual SSW wind. The moon should be directly over in the morning and directly under during the evening hunts. Pretty pumped
