Did you get some friends out and look for your deer yet? You owe it to the game you hunt bud, just can't leave an animal with out an effort in retrieving it. That's what give's bowhunting a bad name. Keep us posted
I got out this morning and got on stand by 6:15. Started to get light by 7 and I could see to shoot by 7:10. At 7, I could hear the deer coming of the fields for the night and towads me. I stood and could see the 1st one ,he was a 4x4 100 buck and came right bye me at 7 yards. The second was a dandy 5x5 that would go 170 and I drew. Then what came next was a monster double droptine buck. The 10 walked by at 12 yards and stopped at 22 yards .The double stopped behind some bushes at 13 yards.
I let off and waited him out till I could see another buck coming up the hill with another one in tow. Both would be 130 bucks. Wow this is my 1st hunt and all this already. My eyes didn't come of the droptine buck, he started eating leaves all the while moving to my right where I had no shot. I saw an opening at 18 yards and waited. The hole was 3 inches for the shot :jaw:He enters the zone and I touch off my relese and right away I could see I hit something as the arrow deflected to his behind missing him. He continued to walk out of my life. I got down at 11:30 and checked my TC and here he is. He's not 180 but he's dang close and he's new on the property this year and I have a ton of pictures of him on this last pull. He's a tank too,man his main beams are wide and thick ,I love his character the most. By far the neatest looking buck I have seen on the ground. I'll be out after him Monday night,TC says he comes out at 8-8:15 nightly with the same 4 bucks. Be back out in the am at another spot. Here's him in velvet and with out.http://[IMG]

This weekends card pull of some cameras didn't have any shooters on them. Alot of does and small bucks. Have another camera to check this evening. Hoping this camera will have some good bucks on it. Haven't set a stand up on this property yet. It's newer and I'm still trying to pattern the deer.

Me too... I've been getting pics of him 1 mile away at an apple tree also. Hoping he keeps the day time activity up for the opener next weekend. I'd love to get an early season buck. The early season coat would make a great looking mount. Thinking he is at least 5 1/2

I saw a ton of deer opening weekend. Added a new buck to my hit list a big 9 pointer named back 9. Took a shot a real big dozer but I shot under her! Super mad at myself, but what can you do.

Got out Last night after the DDT but had the wrong wind,so I went to the other place with the other DDT and got caught moving when I should have been motionless. I didn't see the deer and I thought it was a grouse. It was doing all the short shufle steps in the crunchy leaves. So after 10 minutes I leant over to look under the branches and he took off about 20 steps and stopped. I stood and grabbed my bow and herd him come back but couldn't see him. After 20 minutes of being motionless I grunted and still nothing. Sat back down and that was my uneventfull evening sit. Goes to show you all sit's can and sometimes can be very unproductive. That's it till the next week ,I have a wedding this weekend out of town and I need to build my brownie points back up to the wife. Good luck guys.

Well tomorrow I'll finally be getting back in the tree. All the rain has passed and the temps have dropped some so hopefully that will get them up on their feet. Now that Sept 15th has come and gone we can finally shoot does here in SC. I'll let ya'll know how it goes.

Good luck Rem! I ended up seeing a nice doe just out of bow range. Im headed out again tonight. So I went out tonight and passed up 2 small bucks and a doe at 10 yards. Doe was nice but couldn't get my camera on her for a shot on film. Going to be out Tom. Through Monday. I'll have a deer Down then. (I hope) lol

8pt that I have had pics of for the last three years. (Lucky) Hit a branch and hit him in the front shoulder last year. Seems to be doing fine.

New buck (twister)- Not sure which deer this is. Can't seem to match him up with previous years pics. Looks mature...

    Nice pics!

Not much to report here. Had a couple does in range a couple days ago. The bigger of the two was broadside at 24 yards but my camera man couldn't get on her. They came from the one direction that deer have NEVER come from in all the times I've hunted this spot. I had to let them walk. Yesterday afternoon it was the same result except we had adjusted the camera arm and my cameraman was ready for them but they didn't come into range this time.

Both nights while walking out of the woods we've spotted multiple deer in the cut and disced corn field in the same spot. I hung some stands there around lunch today so we plan on getting on them tomorrow. Hopefully they'll continue their pattern.

Got home at 4pm and was on stand by 5:15,very quiet night other than a pack of yote's fooling around with their young 80 yards away. Wanted to shoot one but they never ventured close enough. About 6"40 I heard a deer jump the fence coming onto the property I'm hunting, coming towards the fields for the night. He or she made a circle white snorting at something cause I was down wind form it. It snort weezed and then blew 3 more times. I couldn't figure it out, then I heard the crunching of leaves coming down the trail and I stood to get ready and then I could make out the land owner. He was out for a walk taking pictures. That was it for the night for me all though I did stay till 8:10 and headed home. That's the 2nd time I got no pictures from my Trail cam,I believe it's out dated and stopped taking picture because it flashed when I stood in front and there were 118 pictures recorded. Nothing showed up though. Guess I'll have to hit Tom up for one of his Covert's. I'll be out for the weekend chasing Moose as there starting to call now and should peak by the 29th. Good luck to those hunting.
