I have been sitting here trying to figure out which bow I want to purchase. I want to hear all of your thoughts and what is a better rig and why. I strictly hunt and now am getting into 3D (not competitively) for fun. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
There is no right or wrong answer if that's what you're looking for. You must shoot them both and see what best fits YOU
exactly, you may like the shorter ata and forgiveness of the creed xs, or you may like the revolutionary no cam system with an ultra smooth draw. Either way you will end up with a great bow, and dont just keep it between mathews, shoot as many as you can, and make a decision based only on that. Good luck.
It's all personal opinion what is better. Shoot them both for yourself and then make your own decision!
Have to agree with theses guys!! You may shoot them and not like either of them! You may go in a totally different direction! Only you can decide!! Good luck.
AndyWest, shoot as many bows as you can. You've named a couple of high-end Mathews but don't overlook the Hoyt Carbon Spyder, Bears, PSE's, etc., you might end up liking a bow that's not $1K. Personally I went with the Mathews HTR because it felt and shot better than the Chill and the Hoyt Carbon Spyder, even though I think that the Spyder has a real unique and cool looking riser.
Yeah I have shot both bows. Its a tough decision. I was mainly looking for things everyone likes and dislikes about each bow. thanks
I shoot the Creed XS. Absolutely love it. The compacted bow and hunting in a treestand/blind is what helped me decide to buy this bow, over the Chill's. But, that being said. I plan to go shoot the HTR soon, to see if I want to upgrade or stick with the XS. Can't go wrong with either bows!
I shoot the creed XS. However, I went from a similar bow, the DXT. I like the shorter bows. The brace height is what made me test the XS. 20 mins later, my credit card was nice and warm. I watched about 20 reviews (on You tube) before going out to test the XS.
If I was choosing between the two, I would go with the HTR, because it is so dead in the hand, draws so smooth, and is longer ATA. That long straight riser holds so steady, it will be great for 3D.
If it was up to me I would chose the Creed xs because its smoother with a single cam and its shorter ata. Also with the creed xs its guaranteed you'll have 80% let off,as the htr has a range from 65-85% let off. But there both smooth, quiet shooting bows so you cant go wrong with either one. Thats just my opinion.
