I am a lefty, I want a new (to me) bow and have a line on a pretty good deal on a 2011 Z7. You know the specs...I am also considering a Creed, I like the solocam better then the monster style. I also like the ATA 30". I have shot the Creed, I like it and I know I will be happy with it. I would have to buy it and accesorize it. The Z7 comes pretty well with all the right stuff on it already and is about 250bucks cheaper. Has the Mathews bow evolved enough in the couple years from Z7 through the Heli-M to the Creed to warrant the money?

I don't think I will get another bow for a while. Has anyone owned both? Does anyone still own both? why should I save my money and get a dang good bow in the Z7? Why should I spend the extra and get the New best Creed?

Just to be clear I have the money I just don't like to throw it away, but if I am getting more and it is worth spending it, I will spend it.

Any help is appreciated. Please no smart a$$.... I wish I had your problem and money ....or....must be nice stuff I am asking a serious question on a bowhunting forum.

    Thanks in advance

I have the Z7(Magnum) which I love and I am looking for a second bow to replace my Drenalin that I sold earlier this year. I looked at the Creed and the Chill, but I think the older bows are just as good as the newer ones. The older bows being the Z7 and Monster. Like you, I have the money to spend on whatever bow I want. But, the Z7 models are my favorite Mathews bows to date. I am a speed guy however, I am partial to the solocam bow like you. I like the Z7 bows so much that I may end up buying a Z7 Extreme, but all black. If you buy the Z7, you won't be disappointed. I hope this helps!

If you shoot and like them both, go with the used bow. Could save you a ton of money. I just bought a Creed, but for me, it was the first bow that felt better in my hands than my Drenalin.

Just some questions, do you happen to know the owner of the bow? How well was it taken care of? I've seen guys take bows (and not specifically cheap ones) and throw them in the bed of there truck with no case and rip back to camp. And they wonder why they missed the deer. So that's something to take into consideration when buying used how well it was taken care of? Also if its a shop that's selling it used not sure if its anything like a shop I have by me but they will buy used bows shoot one arrow through it and they don't even bother to clean it up and just throw it on the shelf so is the shop "loyal"? Hope that sorta helps on a question level.

As for the creed it's a nice bow I've shot it and felt it was the nicer one of the zxt and chill. I've have no experience with the z7 other than the z7x.

If you like the Z7, another bow you would probably like is the ZXT which runs about $200 cheaper than the Creed and those are a sweet shooting bow too.... Buying used can be a good option but since it sounds like you would like to keep it a while, consider that Mathews has one of the better bow warranties in the business - however it's only for the original bow owner so there is some benefit to buying new if plan to keep it.

Thanks For all the good input! I will let you know which way I decide to go. This week end I am going to pick up a couple and put arrows downrange with them and make a decision.

Thanks for all the valuable and honest feedback!
