Saw this idea online the other day. Whats everyone’s thoughts on putting a few strands of fence through a 40 acre piece of timber to help “direct” deer movement. Just a straight fence line through the center of it. Then leave a 25 yd gap in the middle for a place to cross. The strands of fence wouldn’t be high enough that the deer couldn’t jump over, just high enough to encourage use of the gap. I know this is creating a funnel similar to how hinge cutting would but just seems a little different to me. Any ethical issues with something like this in anyone’s opinions?
