Well I need some muscle for about 10 minutes anyone want to come give me a hand:deer:

Why do I need some extra muscle you might ask.

Well I have this brand new 198lb Grizzly 14" band saw that I need to get up off the floor and onto the stand:d

But first I am waiting on the Brown Box truck to bring me the mobile base so I can move the band saw out of the way when I am not using it.

I have cleared a space next to the green tool box for the saw to go.

It makes my old saw look tiny aye:d

Thats a heck of a saw Russ. And your right, the other saw looks pretty meager compared to your new one.

    Zach.

With the base and all the packaging the box weighed close to 250lb I had a heck of a time getting it into the shop as there is a 2ft step up into the shop:d

The new saw should do everything I need it to do from rough cutting risers to ripping lams. That way I wont have to send them out to Kent to rip for me:d

The only draw back with the new saw is it has a 4" dust port so it looks like my next purchase for the shop is going to be a decent dust collector that I can swap from 2" to 4" ports.

Pick the dang thing up ya big sissy! LOL! If you really get in a jam let me know. I don't know when I could get away but I'll figure something out. Things are pretty hectic what with Lily having dance and soccer twice a week each.

Yeah, lately I haven't been using it for an alarm clock and I don't remember to turn it on until I've been at work for a while.

    Steve.

Atleast you got the old bit right:d

Well she is up and running, you know I really didn't know what I was missing out on.

I tell ya she runs real quite and makes short work of rough cutting a riser:d

All the adjustments are easy to get at and she has 2 speeds fast and freakin faster:deer:

I have a 3/4" 3TPI blade on order, it should be here in a few days so I will be able to test her out on some lams.

What you mean he's BIG body builder? haven't you seen him on the Jack In The Box commercials? I figured the saw should be eye level to him without the stand!Congrats on new tool Russ...should make work easier!

Well they pay me more than you get for those Tavelocity commercials you do:cool:

It is, but you would still need a couple of cinder blocks to stand on:evil: :deer:  :d

    Zach.

I am making another riser for the pass around bow on the other forum and another riser for my own Bogan:cool:

But Steve should be calling me any minute now to order a bow to replace his recurve so I'll make that one a build a long:hail:  :computer: :d

    Dave.

Thanks mate I can tell you this the new saw certainly is making life a lot easier, I just ripped a piece of wood to about 1/32" with no problem what so ever and that was with the 3/8" blade should be a lot better with the 3/4" wide blade:d
