Hunting Elk in Idaho. Tough enough hiking and tracking 10 to 15 miles per day, much less with a bow you have little or no confidence in. Hard enough to get close enough for one shot in a season. I did not want to have a last minute borrowed lefty bow with cams that did not match my draw etc. My disappointment and reason for the post was that my dealer was given 3 ship dates. I kept hanging on because of those ship dates. When I came back from a family vacation this past weekend and was told that not only was my bow not in, but that the shipdate was now 8-11, I lost it. I leave on 8-14, so the thought of trying to find a lefty that fit and felt comfortable enough to spend all the energy and effort to get that one shot really pissed me off and was discouraging.
I'd be ticked off too Shockandawe!! A good archery shop should have a back up plan If things went sour. 20 years ago when I bought my XI Impact compound I had troubles with It right away which was right before a bear hunt that was to begin In 7 days. The shop owner set me up with a brand new compound he had sitting there being mine wouldn't be ready on time. In a day or so I had the new compound ready to go, wasn't an Issue with me at all. I shot a bear with that loaner compound too, worked out good.
