I had my bow stolen in June. Ordered a new alphamax July 2nd and the liars at hoyt told my dealer 3 seperate ship dates prior and now say it won't ship until mid August. Prior to ordering they PROMISED it would ship no later than 10 to 15 business days. If I would have known this delay, I would have ordered another bow from a more responsive company. Now I have no bow to tune and get ready for August hunting and will have to scrap my trip!

Must be nice to know that they are recession proof and business is booming that they can lie and treat people like such sh*t.

All I'm gonna say is.......did you personally talk to Hoyt or did you leave it to your shop guy?

Though I will say.........Hoyt's shipping has been far from stellar this year.

Sounds real simple to me, cancel the order, get another bow and go hunting!

I agree, you could get one of AT tomorrow, or get one hanging on the rack at another shop. Does your loyalty lie only with this shop, if not I would go that route.

Why do you have to order the bow, are you shooting a short draw length or high poundage? I had to wait a while last year for a special order and went through the same thing, but I couldn't find a dealer within 200 miles that had the bow I wanted from Hoyt.

I have personally never had a problem with a Hoyt but with so many good companies out there, go to another brand. Doubt cancelling the trip is the answer, heck you'll give up your deposit..

Is this a free hunt? To cancel would be out of the question unless it was a free hunt and I couldn't get a bow somewhere else.

What do you need???? I can go get you one for $750 plus tax RIGHT NOW at my shop not 15minutes away!!! I think you have a dealer problem, not a bow company problem!!! You could probably look around and find a dealer with a bow in stock that would work for you, without having to try to order one and wait. The other thing is that they are likely working on '10 bows and aren't too much dedicated to continuing to make the '09's.

Me thinks you're trolling here. Most REAL HUNTERS would find a way to have a bow in their hands and go on a hunt, and not be whining that some "bow company" cost them their hunt. (Insert BS sign here) If the hunt was that important, I know I'd MAKE SURE I had a bow in my hands and some time to shoot to get ready to go.

So how much deposit are you losing???

What's your DL and DW, I bet for $850, I can have an Alphamax TYD within 72hours!!!

    Followup On Hoyt Customer Service

As a followup to my previous thread on my MIA AM32 bow order:

I left a message with Tom at Hoyt this morning. He returned my call this afternoon and indicated that he had spent alot of time trying to figure out what happened, but there was no good reason that it kept falling out of the production schedule. He seemed sincerely disappointed in their mistake.

He indicated that he personally was making sure that it was completed today, and would pay to overnight it to my dealer for Friday delivery.

I can't tell you how refreshing it is to actually have a company fess up and tell you the truth instead of coming up with some manufactured reason.

Long and short, my bow will be here in time for me to tune it, sight it and get the strings stretched prior to leaving next week.

I would like to thank Sonnythomas from this forum for the PM giving me Tom's name and email address for a contact at Hoyt - it made all the difference. That is truly "archers looking out for archers".

By the way - thanks for the offers of other bows but I am a lefty with a 27.5" draw and the local shops don't stock lefties.

Don't appreciate the comment on being a troller and not a REAL HUNTER - that's just a bunch of cr*p that should not be part of any REAL HUNTER forum.

I was offered a used lefty bowtech from an Ontario Ca dealer that I would have taken him up on if Hoyt hadn't come through in a pinch.

Be offended if you want, but to come off blaming a Bow Company and say they are the reason you're gonna cancel a hunt sure don't sound like someone really dedicated to going on a hunt.

Glad to hear things worked out for you, and YES, I could have gotten you a 28" AM Lefty for $750 plus tax and shipping, I actually looked while I was in my local shop today.

Good Luck, what and where are you hunting anyhow???
