Farley - it really depends on the company, and what their local dealer base looks like. I'm not totally sure that Limbsaver has anyone in this area they feel comfortable making that repair, and they also probably want to get a look at the bow to see what may have caused it and if anything else is wrong. IMO the e-mail you got from them shows some pretty darn good customer service. I understand it sucks that you will be without your bow for awhile, but that's the risk we all take when we only have one bow. Any one of us could pop a limb, bust a string, etc and be down for the count for awhile. That is why God invented backups, and credit cards. :D Or you can just buy an Elite. They'll send you a loaner the next day to use until yours is fixed.
my buddy is a disabled sportsman (reconstructed shoulder)and used to bowhunt. i talked him into picking up a crossbow a horton and to make a long story short he hammered a big doe last night and couldnt recover the deer, got back to the house after backing out and noticed his brand new crossbow had a very visible crack in the limb so it was one of them nites for him as well!
In my experience, the company has sent the limbs to my dealer and I brought my bow in for the swap and the dealer went over the entire bow and swapped the limbs.
