I would have to ask my GW if I came across the situation cause I get 3 does tags and 1 buck tag or 4 doe tags.

That was just a hypothetical question.

Looking at GMMATs post it sounded like he thought it was a doe.

I was going to tell you to just trim but I see you did that. You sure it was yotes or maybe some foxes. I had foxes do the same thing to a doe I shot this year. I just trimmed it off.

Yes it was a buck, so Im not quite sure where all of this doe talk got started:confused: Anyway I cant believe some of these responses where people are telling me to feed it to the coyotes or my dogs....seriously people you are obviously the type that take your quarry for granted!!! I figured if the good Lord gave me the opportunity to take such a magnificent creature, well then I better make good use of it:)

Im assuming the folks with the negative comments found a good recipe for antler soup:D

Anyways Thanks to those who actually are against wanton waste of a good animal and are also meat hunters!

And as far as foxes go...it easily couldve been, because there was a den right there where it died and we saw several throughout the weekend of hunting, but no shots:(:(:(

Man, I saw that Bear Grylls dude knawing on a half eaten zebra carcass. That deer will be fine. Trim away the chewed parts and you'll be good.

I posted the suggestion about feeding it to your dogs. That's if youre grossed out. Personally I'd trim around it,definitely keep the backstraps. I feed all the trimmings to my dog, as .well as what's left in the freezer when the new season starts. I don't consider feeding my dog a "wanton waste of game".
