Coyotes and scrapes?

    Do you think its possible for this series of photos to cause almost NO deer activity on the scrape afterwords?

    Because thats what happened with this scrape. I had over 60 pictures here without burst mode on my camera in a week UNTIL this guy showed up, then i had 1-2 doe pictures and a few raccoons afterwords. Did the scrape "dry up" and need refreshed? Or did the deer avoid it after the yote rolled in it?

    Also, i had the same thing happen in 2007 with a scrape after this guy showed up :

    Thats twice now that i have had productive scrapes go dead AFTER a yote visit.

    I seriously doubt the yote had any effect on the scrape. Coyotes are a part of life for a whitetail, they aren't going to alter their routine over one visit. I get Coyote pics quite often and never see a decline in deer activity from them
