After deer season I'm going to try some calling on a full moon with some snow on the ground. We have lots around our area. Every night getting out of the stand I hear them in every direction. I think the mounts look pretty cool. I've always let them lay.

Thanks man, it was 300$, which is a pretty good deal. The next one I get I'm going to do the same and have them on both sides of my buck, with about 75 sheds surrounding them

Their head goes on a stick and gets paraded around and then left as a warning to their relatives.

If the hides clean I have them turned into pelts.

Over the years I've killed 8 or 9 yotes from Illinois.. only 3 have been made into pelts.. the rest were ugly lookin'.

A big reason I don't want a mount, other than the cost, is that my 6 year old daughter gets super freaked out just seeing the coyote mounts in Gander Mountain (thankfully, she's fine with the deer and wants more deer on the wall). I don't want her freaked out in the house, so I won't be getting any yotes mounted. Didn't realize it's fairly standard to just leave them lay. Wasn't sure if people sold the pelts or what. Thanks for all the responses.

It was pretty much all scabs with a bit of hair. I was really tempted to take it to a taxidermist. (just to see what they'd say) ;)

I did save and boil his head tho'. :D
