As a Cowboys fan, I have been a huge supporter of Tony Romo. The guy has top 5 talent, maybe top 3 talent as a QB in this league. I have said "who can we get thats better" and that still applies, but tonight FINALLY broke it, I am done with Romo, thats it. All he had to do was not do what he did. Its pretty simple. He will never, ever, ever make a smart play at the most crucial time. He had the game of his life and HE screwed it up by making an idiotic move. If he actually plays smart, Dallas has the ball and still has a chance to go down the field and win the game.....the amount of disgust in me is ridiculous!

It's a weird thing with Romo. You're probably right, who can you get to take his place and play better overall? Probably nobody. At the same time they have gone, are going and never will go anywhere with him as QB! Period! No more history needed to determine that. Double edged sword really. A lot can be said for what he did to win that game. 500+ yards... 5 TD's. I get all that. BUT, they are 2-3 and it will just NEVER happen.

That's the problem with Romo, he will play so amazing and put up such great stats, but he won't win. The same can be said for pretty much everybody on the team except Jason Hatcher, Sean Lee, Bruce Carter, Orlando Scandrik, Jason Witten, and Dez Bryant!

He is a GREAT fantasy football qb and that is about it. He will put up stats that will have guys say he is a top tier qb and then he makes mistakes that make him look like an average qb at best. I still can not believe Jones gave him over 100 million(wait yes I can :)) to maybe get you to the playoffs.

Last night, sitting on the couch watching the game. Denver has the ball, down 7. I look over and tell my wife that Denver is going to score here, and Romo is going to throw an interception and lose the game. Which is what happened, then my wife looked at me and said, "wow, you called that one." That's just what he does.

Denver did not punt a single time in the game...but you guys are probably right that Romo is the reason they lost;)

While I agree this is classic Romo to throw up huge numbers and still choke in the end, you guys are severely blinding yourselves to the reason they lost like pointed out above.

They lost because there was no defense played by either team, and Romo had the ball, a tie game, and just couple minutes left. What does he do, throws an interception on the first pass attempt of the drive. Classic Romo. Normally I revel in his ineptness when the pressure is on, but I was rooting for him to beat the Donkey's this time.

By the way, these Bronco's remind me of the 2003 Chiefs, all offense no defense. They will lose in a cold weather playoff game.

Throwing the ball with velocity in cold weather did appear to be an issue for Peyton in the playoffs last year...maybe because he was still healing? I guess we will find out later this year

this all the way and im a Broncos fan. for the most part Denver doesnt have much of a defense. sure they are undefeated but look how many points the other team has put up. Denver is winning because they just outscore the other team. In cold weather, you will see a different offense.

The facemask tackle on Manning was pretty dirty. Anyone hear if the Cowboy was fined?

As a Diehard Dallas fan I predicted in an earlier thread this year that they would go 8-8 this year. I have been a fan since the 70s. However, I refuse to watch a game until we get a new coach, quarterback and GM. Dallas has the same team they had last year. Why expect anything different? Romo got paid big bucks for being a good quarterback for the first 12 games of regular season, but horrible when it matters most. Dallas is screwed up from the top down! An owner that refuses to get a GM because he thinks his football IQ is more than what it is. A Head Coach that has a noodle for a spine. And a quarterback that can't lead a dog down a hall with a leash. Until Dallas gets a really good quarterback, to put pressure on Romo for the starting position if he plays poorly, he has no reason to do no more than what he is doing. UNDERACHIEVE!! No Romo can't win by himself, but he dang sure can make losing come a lot easier than it should. A defense that didn't get one sack or one knock down on Manning ALL GAME! I am surprised Denver didn't score 70! How Bout Them Cowboys!! I can't help but love them and hate them at the same time!

Well I'm sure there would be plenty of takers if they wanted to trade him, but I have the feeling that cowboy fans wouldn't have the patience to draft and develop a new QB.

With one playoff win in the last 15 years and their not screaming for a new QB, I would say they are pretty patient.

yeah dallas definitely needs to pick up a qb in the draft in the next year or two and get him ready to take over. and there should be some good talent hitting the draft in the next couple years. romo is good but not super bowl good. he isnt going to get them there and they need to move on. bring someone in, let them learn a thing or two and then turn romo loose. Denver was smart picking up Dysert this year. Manning is set up to win a couple super bowls and i think if he wins this year and next, he retires on top like Elway did. Denver needs to grow a replacement now. Just like Dallas needs to.
