I'm thinking about getting a Covert black flash camera but don't know which one to get? Do you guys know if the black 60 or the mp6 trail camera is the best for all around quality.

The Black 60 is the better quality camera if money is not a big deal, but the MP6 is a great camera for the money. I have 3 of the MP6s (IR, not the black), and they are my second favorite camera behind my Red 40s.

I'm not even sure, I'd have to ask him. You could also shoot him a PM and see what he says.

We run everything except the Black 60....love all of them. The MP6 regular is a workhorse for the money and the black is just a step below picture clarity wise in my opinion.

I have a black 60, mp6 and two mp6 blacks. They all work great and have excellent battery life. If you're not into video or plot watching mode and just want cams to take pics, the mp6 black is a real work horse. You won't be disappointed.

I am in the market for another trail cam and have been hearing that Covert is a great camera. My concern is trigger speed. I currently have 2 Cuddeback Captures that I have had great luck with and they claim a 1/4 sec trigger speed. The Coverts are over a second. Since most of my cameras are on trails I am hesitant to buy a Covert for fear of missing deer. Any thoughts?

I don't think that the covetts miss much if anything. Matter of fact they sometimes seem to be a bit too sensitive and take pics without animals in them. I believe that the sensor is sensing the animals before they are in the cams field of view.

I agree with Greg. I'd have no worries putting my Coverts on trails anywhere

400excracer, if you angle your camera on the trail, even just slightly, it should allow more time to get a picture of the deer

Can't go wrong with either the Black 60 or MP6 Black. If your wanting HD video go with the 60, if not, my choice would be the MP6 Black. I have both and they are great cameras. Still haven't changed batteries since April with well over 10,000 pics on each camera. My Black 60 is my plot or scrape camera. My MP6 Black's are more of my "run and gun" cameras. I usually move them around more on trails and crossings.

The Black 60 will do HD video with audio and will take better night time photos that being said the MP6 Black is very solid camera for the $

    Can't go wrong either way.

As far as trigger speed The Covert sensing area is a bit larger than the photo area so the 1.2 second trigger speed is a nonissue.

Coverts have a very wide sensing cone, which compensates for the 1 sec trigger speed. Its more then enough. The mp6 is a hell of a camera, thats for sure.

Ive had mine for 4 months and it has stopped working 4 different times for a total of 5 weeks of photos not taken! They told me some instructions on how to fix the problem and I tried it and it worked for a week but after that it shut off again!! The batteries are full and I have checked the settings many many times to make sure they are correct. I tried to send it in but they wouldn't let me! I am very frustrated and disappointed in Covert. The problem is that the sensor stops working and then the camera shuts off because of it. The cam also doesn't take very good pics, many are blurry and not very good color. Ive tried facing it different directions but it stiff does the same thing.
